Jwism is deeply worldly - indeed the foundation is the way of the world - namely the notions surrounding earning your "fair share" (like those who start earlier in the day). The concern of the kingdom is to give fully to those who are undeserving - it's the way of heaven - jwism has no understanding of why.

in another thread i was chatting with dave (sevenof 6) and he brought out an awesome point.
i said my problem with the bible was if it contains life for people.....then all those without the word and christ are doomed.

The angels, the poor and neglected, have been blessed broken and handed out for our sake, and they separate sheep from goats everyday - it's often clear to people - it may be that you may need to taste that fruit though.
i see a number of board members alluding to the elders as antagonists.
this is amoral.
there is an inference that these ones ( elders ) can think for themselves, they cannot.
Are they without guilt because they "do not know what they do", or is it that Elders are scared shitless of loosing their coveted position. If I am offered enough inducement to impede the health of my neighbour, can I be held responsible? - I mean, afterall, my needs are very important.
Beats me.... I'm not the judge - they're of the world, and think and behave in the ways of the world, where people "earn their fair share" - so it's appropriate they're treated as taxcollectors. How do you treat taxcollectors? You give them what they want, even begrudgingly - and give to God what is God's.
Are they responsible? Just speak against their way, and talk of Good News.

i have a lot of friends in my life.
some are real close and some are casual friends.
in all, i still enjoy my connection with them and i enjoy the time i get to spend with them.
I can understand that ex-jws don't believe in 'jehovah', because that god is only imaginary. But to say you believe in love but not God simply exposes a language difficulty.
Yes, unfortunately jws eat the food meant for the sheep - that's the trait of goats.

wt always claimed that everyone imitates somebody.
they said that they were imitating jehovah, jesus, isaiah, or some other bible character in some ways or another.
they claimed the rest of mankind were imitating their own idols, heros, and ultimately, the devil.
God became a man, not an imitation - let's be a god.

Well, most jws don't like the truth. They can't stand it, and plainly deny it to your face. They would rather pretend that they don't shun, that they aren't a religion, that there aren't paedophiles or assistants of such among them. It is the very example of satanic.
It's basically - they are of their father the devil, and their will is to kill those who refuse to support their untruth. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks as he wants according to his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies. If you tell the truth, they do not believe you.

during my watchtower days, from their 'college level education', i had the impression that all street drugs were terribly addictive, as soon as someone did a drug one time, he was hooked.
that drugs reduced people to souless protoplasm.
street drugs are actually classified into two basic groups: .
I've been visiting 'mental health consumers' in a nursing capacity - the reason for the presentation to the service often stems from illicit drug use - but it's not generally a stand alone reason. Other precipitating factors exist; mostly family dysfunction, lack of love or even jw or jw type parents perhaps.
Drugs of course can promote altered mind states, but generally clients are thought of as being 'sick', and therapeutically treated, even against their will. The impressive scientific advances of the medical profession over the last century have provided them with the authority to therapeutic treat the 'sick', and by using the language of 'disease' when describing 'illness' - they have gained the authority to say what is socially normal or abnormal in terms of disease.
The state of course provides allowance for people to give advanced health directives in regard to all but mental state. It's like, "We will let you die or be sick, but there's no way we'll resign to simply let you become a nut". And I think that is a human trait that is reflected in the way people are disturbed by jws insisting on both being nuts and 'at large' - the perception being endangerment to themselves and others via their nuthood.
